GrinLock is a character, web and mobile game development company based in the UK. We develop high quality characters for games, animation, promotional material, and social media applications. We also develop games and applications for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices. Our games are developed as either for-profit or as viral games. Both our characters and games are used as part of SEO campaigns to attract attention as well as generate and maintain conversations.

Alchemy Racers

Project: Alchemy Racers Client: Digital Alchemy Platform: PC Game with steering wheel control Project: This driving game was designed to draw attention to Digital Alchemy’s unique Database Marketing Services. The player has to avoid colliding with other cars while at the same time pick up the company’s roadmap icons. At the end of the game the company’s full customer centric, database marketing road map is revealed. The game also captures user data for lead generation. The game was developed as two versions: the first was for exhibition purposes and was played with a USB Steering Wheel and the second as an online version that was played with keyboard controls.

Just Dance 3

Project: Just Dance 3 Client: Promethium Marketing Platform: Website Project Responsibility: We were part of Promethium Marketing's team in creating exciting and vibrant designs for promoting the release of the Just Dance 3 game - the latest in the very popular series by Ubisoft. The designs had to reflect the look and feel of Just Dance 3 brand and entice users to download content such as wallpapers, and ultimately, to buy the game.

Change 4 Life

Project: Change 4 Life application Client: Art Science / Department of Health Platform: Facebook Project Responsibility: We were responsible for the programming of the Facebook application for Change 4 Life - Get Going Everyday Challenge . By answering some easy lifestyle questions, you can find out what type of activities will suit your personality - are you the Stealthy Healty or perhaps The Soloinst? Once you have found out what personality type you are, you are presented with a list of activities designed to get you off your sofa and encourage you to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle, be it with a group of friends or taking the dog for a long solitary walk. You where also able to share the application with your firends on Facebook. |
UpperStreet

Project: UpperStreet Ballet Flats Client: Art Science / UpperStreet Platform: Flash Application Project Responsibility: The hugely successful UpperStreet brand was recently expanded by introducing Ballet Flats. Up until then the brand specialised in custom created high heels, but with ballet pumps being so popular among shoe afficianados, it was inevitable that a new last had to be introduced.

Project: Duracell Gaming banners Client: White Room Games Platform: Flash Animation Project Responsibility: We were responsible for the layout and animation of banner ads promoting various Duracell Gaming products, including the brand new Duracell Extender for the PS3. |
Flavour3 - Game Genre Pack logos

Project: Game Genre logos Client: White Room Games Platform: Photoshop Project Responsibility: We were responsible for the layout and design for three logos representing different game genres. These logos will be used on Flavour3's game packs for sale on the high street.

Ben 10 Alien Locator

Project: Ben 10 Alien Locator Client: Turner Entertainment Networks Platform: iPhone and iPad Project Responsibility: GrinLock was privileged to have been given the opportunity to work with Ben 10, one of the world’s largest character properties. Ben 10 Alien Locator is based on a game design by Ryan Adams. We were responsible for the interface design, game graphics and animation as well as project management and testing. Travel Trots

Project: Travel Trots Client: ArtScience / Lloyds Pharmacy Platform: Flash, Facebook, Flickr Project Responsibility: We were responsible for the programming of the TravelTrots web application. The application allows you to upload and share your own discoveries of disgusting, diarrhoea inducing toilets to a Flickr Group. You can also navigate the map to see which countries are danger zones and you can upload and share your own experiences of which coutries you've had diarrhoea in.
